Job Description Summary Responsible for analyzing, defining, planning, and managing complex Medimpact products and services that include new development and enhancements to existing products and services as well as the complete lifecycle for the delivery of new products and services.
Working in close partnership with functional business leadership and IT, contributes to the development of the business strategy and subsequently translates that business strategy into product strategies, product roadmaps, product requirements and specifications that: deliver value to the customer; meet business operational and financial goals; and provide for the technology solutions, processes and other capabilities needed to scale the business.
May be required to lead, guide, mentor, train and develop more junior product managers. Defines and manages metrics to effectively measure the success of product and service deliverables. A wide degree of creativity and latitude is expected. Essential Duties and
the following. Other duties may be assigned. Actively researches and stays abreast of trends in the marketplace to ensure the product’s competitive position. Identifies measurable KPIs with monitoring/reporting solutions in partnership with business and IT ownership. Following outlined product development and management processes, directs the overall scoping, planning, business requirements definition and delivery of products and services to customers from idea inception through design, development, delivery, ongoing support and enhancement and potentially retirement across the full product lifecycle.
Provides product management oversight for assigned products and services, including annual strategic product planning; revenue and expense budgeting and forecasting; pricing; sales strategy development and facilitation; product positioning, packaging, and messaging; marketing and sales material development; product training, product testing, assessment, and support; RFP support; and product demonstrations.
Partners with business stakeholders, end-users and business analysts to define business rules as they apply to processes and procedures and to define and document business requirements and develop work-flow diagrams, functional hierarchies, process models, revenue models, fee schedules, etc. Ensures business requirements are appropriately translated into customer deliverables This position will interface with other areas within the company, including IT, Sales & Marketing, Operations, Clinical, BI, Finance/Analytics and Project Management.
Owns prioritization of product backlog for assigned products and coordinates with appropriate IT and Business teams to ensure delivery. Continues to assess and address functional specifications, non-functional requirements and operational readiness. Monitors the overall development schedule to ensure the on-time delivery of software development initiatives.
Gains internal and regulatory approvals. Coordinates and participates in user acceptance testing efforts to ensure the delivered product meets the required functionality, user interface and performance requirements. Champions the rapid adoption of new application features by conducting demonstrations and producing materials such as tutorials, release notes, help guides, and FAQs.
Will contribute to new or updated sales and marketing materials including, but not limited to, product binders, product summaries, presentations, proposal language, and product training materials. Provides product and system demonstrations for new and existing clients and acts as the SME in answering questions and highlighting key system capabilities.
Product champion and steward of the health and well-being of specified applications and solutions. Education and/or Experience BS/BA and 5+ years’ experience or equivalent combination of education and experience, and 2 years' of SME in respective areas Computer Skills Strong proficiency with MS Office / Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Visio and Outlook to create complex documents, manage schedules, and analyze data.
Working knowledge of key business applications and/or tools such as MS SQL, Oracle 19c, Golden 32/TOAD, MedAccess, MedOptimize, SalesForce, and UNIX operating systems. Understanding of Tableau and SQL Server Reporting Services (SSRS). Certificates, Licenses, Registrations Product Management Certification (Scrum Product Owner) required.
Project Management Professional (PMP) Certification preferred. Other Skills and Abilities Ability to effectively recognize complex problems and apply analytic and critical thinking skills to innovate solutions. Ability to exercise sound judgment and decision-making. Ability to collaborate on cross-functional projects and liaise with stakeholders in both the business and IT.
Ability to define requirements and prepare and maintain detailed product/project plans, roadmaps, and related financial analysis. Demonstrated ability to positively interact with clients, and staff of all levels, a willingness to take accountability for achieving service commitments and a demonstrated ability to achieve results.
Demonstrates ability to appear for work on time, follow directions from a supervisor, interact well with co-workers, understand and follow work rules and procedures, comply with corporate policies, goals and objectives, accept constructive criticism, establish goals and objectives, and exhibit initiative and commitment.

Working Hours This is an exempt level position requiring the incumbent to work the hours required to fully accomplish job responsibilities and reasonably meet deadlines for work deliverables.
The individual must have the flexibility to work beyond traditional hours and be able to work nights, weekends or on holidays as required. Work hours may be changed from time to time to meet the needs of the business. Typical core business hours are Monday through Friday from 8:00am to 5:00pm. Travel This position requires no travel; however, attendance may be required at various local conferences and meetings.
